Choosing the right musical instrument
need not be a stressful experience

Knowing how to play a musical instrument really is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. Over the past 38 years, I have taught people of all ages, from all walks of life how to play and enjoy a keyboard, digital piano or piano.

They have ranged from primary school children, right through to retirees, who have had ‘learn to play the piano’ on their “bucket list”. But what they have all had in common, is the sheer enjoyment of finally mastering a favorite piece of music, there really is nothing quite like that feeling in the whole world.

And this feeling of achievement happens relatively quickly, when people are learning to play on a keyboard that is appropriate for their needs. Too often though, I hear stories of people who have bought (or been sold) an instrument that is not suitable for them in any way.

And not only is this ultimately very costly, it is extremely demoralizing. When people are stuck with an instrument that is not the right one for them, they tend to become discouraged and give up. The keyboard ends up collecting dust in the spare room. This is the last type of experience I want for my customers.
